Behind the scenes

I’m Neil. I’ve spent a lot of years working in nature-based campaigning, activism and community projects around Britain. That’s included stints in Friends of the Earth and The Orchard Project a period as a nature-based garden designer, time teaching nature-based land skills and permaculture, and plenty of projects working directly with the real change-makers - local community groups.

These days, I run a Welsh heritage fruit tree nursery and a social enterprise in West Wales and continue to work closely with community groups in the area. My first non-fiction book, Finding the Ape, is published in spring 2027.
